New Year, New Me

So I asked Alex to start this blog for me so that I can write down my feelings, my weight loss (hopefully). I’ll also share recipes of food if I find it really good. Plus I may share a couple of pics of our gorgeous children.

As some of you may know, at the end of December last year I had a little girl, she is absolutely gorgeous and is extremely good 🙂 Before I found out I was pregnant, I started a fitness routine. I was going to kettlebell classes twice a week. Plus I also completed Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred. So when I found out I was pregnant, I was told that both of these were too strenuous to continue so I had to put things on hold until afterwards.

So that time is now. No longer will I be the fat mum at the park. I’m doing this for myself and my children. I have lost my self confidence and I want it back :-p On the 5th Feb, I started my Slimming World (SW) journey. Now I’ve started SW a few times before but I am now determined to follow it through until my confidence is back. Now you won’t get many pictures of me (if any). I’m not one to post pictures of myself online. I hate my picture being taken and run whenever there is a camera around. What you will probably see are pictures of my children, and maybe towards the end of my journey, I may post a picture of myself. My plan is to lose the weight for when I go back to work around September time.

During this time we have a 2 week all inclusive holiday which I am going to enjoy myself and not fully follow plan. But I’ve gotta remember it is my holiday (plus my 30th) so I plan to enjoy it. But I will make possible slight change to some meals.

I got a 12 week countdown on the 5th Feb, and in the 1st week I have lost 4.5lb, to which I’m thrilled with 🙂 I know it’s not going to be that much every week, and there will be times I slip up. But my determination is sky high and I’m going to continue going to SW until I reach my goal weight. I’m going to complete 30 day shred again (just before I go on holiday), and I am also going to go back to my kettlebell classes at least once a week to start off with as I really enjoyed them last time. Once I get closer to my goal weight I am planning to complete Jillian Michaels Body Revolution which is a 3 month workout 6 days a week.

So every Thursday, I’m planning to update this blog, hopefully with my losses and to also write about what has been happening over the week, maybe a recipe of something I have had etc.

If you got this far well done. I know I’m not the best writer, it doesn’t come naturally to me as it does my other half, but I will do my best. So it’s bye for now, and I’ll update at the end of the week.
